Just off the A96 west of Blackburn. Venue will be sign posted.

A collection of sculpture and painting by Scottish artists Greg Bryce and Andy Walker.

Greg‘s work concerns it‘s self with fundamentals. He is interested in the underlying rhythms of the senses‚ and how these basic principles transfer to intuitive creativity.

Juxtaposed against this Andy‘s work explores the natural world and the connection we have with it through symbolism and metaphor.

Parking available next to venue.

We will probably both be there all week. we will be pottering about, painting, building stuff and generally being arty. But as well as that its an awesome walk in an amazing environment. And if you make it out there will be a wee dram in it as reward just in case the art doesn't tickle your fancy. Ill have lots of paintings for sale, probably no digital stuff due to power issues in the woods. But if I find 100m of extension cable I might get the old lappy out there. So there might be the option of having your portrait painted digitally.... who knows, anythings possible. Or you might pick up a Greg Bryce original sculpture for your garden or mantel piece. Who knows, just come see. But no face painting.

If driving turn of the A96 west of Blackburn at the round about towards Westhill. Take the road immediately on your right once off the round about. Follow that road up the hill and take your first right. if you can now see a large monkey puzzle tree on your left your nearly there. This should take you over the flyover. Carry on up that hill. Just before the brow of the hill you will see the entrance on your right. It will be sign posted. Parking is limited so please park considerately and try and leave space for others. Preferably don't park in the near by driveways or entrances to fields. No one likes an angry farmer shouting about the fact he cant get in to pester his cows.

If you don't drive you can get either the 220, 307, 224, 10 or 737 buses. For timetables look up stagecoach on google, then type in the bus number. Then get off in Blackburn and walk west along the main road until Blackburn is behind you. Just before the round about there is a foot path that leads up to the flyover. There will be signs up showing the way. Its only a 5 minute walk from the edge of the town. Once by the flyover head up hill. It is NOT the first drive way. At the brow of the hill you will find the entrance on your right. The road leading up the hill does not have a foot path and is used by cars, so BE CAREFUL if on foot, some muppet getting run over would put a hell of a dampener on the whole thing.

Opens Saturday the 10th of September. Ignore date ambiguity on signs and stoof..... my bad.

oh and Im not promising but it might be a little muddy under foot at times.

transition extreme

Its been a fun week, got myself a huge wall to do a massive painting on down at the skate park by the beach ( also known as transition extreme). The painting is 240cm x 1320cm ish and should be finished within 6 weeks or so I reckon. Once I remember to take my camera with me Ill take some photos of the work in progress.
